The built-in list contains 800 words stored in this page's JavaScript. Six random words provide about 58 bits from the words alone before optional additions. Generated passphrases are not uploaded or saved.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

Your password stays on your device.

Generation and testing happen in JavaScript in the browser. The tool does not send generated passwords or test input to TheSQRLs.com, and password values are never written to local storage.

RANDOM GENERATION

Uses the browser's cryptographic RNG.

Random choices come from the Web Crypto API with rejection sampling, avoiding the modulo bias that can happen when random integers are mapped directly into uneven character pools.
